Huguetta Pasquier Bedroom, 2017-07-02 15:15:35. Window space is important; penthouse apartments typically utilize sliding glass doors to allow as much light into the room as possible. While you may be restricted in this sense, it is worth considering whether you can make any alterations to create more window space. To make the most of the light you have, neutral colors are the best choice for the walls. You can add a splash of color on the wall around the window for impact, but opposite the window you should use neutral colors to reflect light back into the room.

First of all, it’s an inspiration for other projects because of the way in which it deals with its neighbors that are blocking its view to the sea. The house was designed on four levels with a rooftop pool that cantilevers 9 meters to the South-West. It was designed this way so that views of the sea can be admired while relaxing on the terrace or swimming in the pool which, by the way, has a glass bottom.

So add the jazzy feels to the nursery or your own bedroom! We love a chunky chevron slapped onto vases too. Whether you add some fresh floral or use it for styling the coffee table, it’s fun, funky and trendy! Distressed or full of color, make your family photos even more adorable with this added pattern. From wall frames to the side table, the print will make it pop!
Chantrell Meunier Exterior, 2017-04-15 08:00:33. The pools are created out of modified shipping containers measuring 8 x 20 ft (2.4 x 6 m). The design presents multiple advantages such as the fact that the structure can be relocated and transported to pretty much any location worldwide. In addition, a shipping container pool can be set up in minutes and it can also be enjoyed throughout the year thanks to the built-in heater. The heater can increate the temperature of the water to 30 degrees Celsius even in a -10 degrees Celsius temperature. A divider can be added if desired to transform a section of the pool into a hot tub. The installation of the pool is simple and can be done by local professionals or by the clients themselves. The ground needs to be prepped and Mudpools suggests two common and effective methods that can be used: a concrete slab or 8” of compacted gravel. Of course, lots of alternatives also exist.
Fleur Prevost Exterior, 2017-04-07 08:00:55. The owners of this house approached Bestor Architecture with the desire to ultimately be able to enjoy a private getaway outside of the city, a place where they could become closer to nature and to find the balance between modern design and organic simplicity. Their wishes came true. It’s cozy and humble but this charming retreat is designed to make the most of its location and to transform the views of the forest into a source of freshness of color for the interior decor. This is a retreat designed by Lang Architecture in Kerhonkson, 100 miles from New York.

Even though it;s not entirely designed this way, these elements give it a lot of character. The house was designed by Fougeron Architecture and is composed of two rectangular boxes linked by a library entirely wrapped in glass. It’s always interesting to see how each architect deals with their clients’ requests and how it all starts to take shape little by little. Gogl Architekten designed in 2012 a house in Kitzbühel. The client wanted it to include an open room filled with light and with a connection to the garden and views of the mountains for the rest of the spaces. This is the result.
Fawnia Leroux Exterior, 2017-04-21 07:59:52. The street facade is covered in fireproof timber and has a very understated and simple look. There’s a small private courtyard in front, sort of like a buffer zone between the internal spaces and the street. The wood on the facade is stained and has a rich finish which contrasts with the galvanized steel elements. The North facade, the one facing the river, has a totally different structure. This is an all glass facade which doesn’t exactly give much privacy but, at the same time, exposes the internal spaces to the expansive views. The glass also contributes to an overall look that’s robust on one hand but also open and airy on the other hand. Such contrasts are actually quite common with this project.
